Junior Carnival Day

We had a fun day at school today even though it poured with rain. There were various sport activities and games organised for us by the Kelly Sports team, then we went and played with water guns and went on the water slide that was managed by Ms. Va'afusuaga. We squirted water on Ms. Ana and she was drenched. Mr. Whippy came and we all had ice cream. At lunchtime we had a pizza party. Just when we thought it was all over we had a surprise! Santa came to our class and gave us lollies. We were so excited and happy. We had an awesome day!

Sports Awards

Today was a very special day. We got our Sports Awards for Netball and Rippa Rugby. We had a few games and they were great. It was not the best seaon with lockdown happening but we had some good times. Thank you Ms. Va'afusuaga, coaches, managers and parents for supporting and taking care of us.

Prize Giving

We had our Prize Giving celebration today. We had it outside because we had to social distance. The celebration was live streamed so our families could share this special occassion with us. It was a beautiful sunny day. Lots of children got awards for their hard work and efforts in their learning. Then we went onto the stage and sang a song for the school and our parents. It has been a fantastic year and everyone is so proud of us! Later that day, the teachers decided to have our own little celebration so that they could shake our hands and give us our awards.

Words with ee sounds

I was proud of myself for coming up with the word cheetah all on my own.

Matching words

I enjoyed this activity but found matching the words together and weather a little hard to do. After matching all the easy words I was able to do the more difficult ones.

Home Activity

My big brother always asked me if I wanted to train with him and I’m always happy to go out to his gym and do the workout. I enjoy working out, it keeps me fit and  healthy.

Once I was done with my workout, me and my sister Gene helped dad to plant some cucumber. Cucumber is my little sister Gene‘s favorite food to eat. My mum bought it from the shop for us to plant.
It will take up to 10 days for the plant to come out of the ground and then we can move them and plant them on a bigger area. I can’t wait to see it grow.

Home Learning

In my class meet today we had a writing test about ‘EARTHQUAKE’.

I had to draw a picture of what I would do if an earthquake happens and also write about it.

Home Learning

We listened to Sebastian’s Roller Skate story and then I had to answer the questions. I liked this story because I miss going to skateland in Panmure with my family.

For Maths, I had to solve the problem by drawing circles and lines to find out the answer. I like doing Maths.

Making my bucket

Here’s what my bucket looked like. I used a bucket that I used for Halloween last year. Luckily my sister Jahzara helped me to turn it from a scary bucket into a pretty bucket. Thank you Jahzara.

I‘m very excited to not only fill my bucket but to fill others buckets too.

Reading

Todays story was about Jessica’s Box. Enjoyed another sad story about this girl called Jessica and how she was laughter at by the kids from her school, story was similar to yesterday‘s story A Bad Case of Stripes.

I was sad at first and then happy at the end when she found someone to play with.
I have learnt to be nice and stand up for those kids that are being laughter at.

Filling my sister bucket: Sharing my favourite soft toy

Moo Moo is my favourite soft toy and I wanted to share her with my sister Genevieve.

I hope they enjoy their sleep zzzzzz

Home Learning Reading

Today I listened to a story of a young girl with a special illness. I felt sad for Camilla because she was treated very badly at school. If I was in her school, I would’ve told her to just ignore all the kids that was laughing a her And would also tell those kids to leave her alone.

When she got better at the end, I felt happy for her.
