Weekend science experiment

Today I wanted to try the baking soda and vinegar volcano experiment.

  • Making the volcano.

My Dad made a template for me to cut out of cardboard. I traced the template to make many pieces to complete my volcano.

I used an old bottle to help form my volcano and Dad held it tight while I taped it together to keep its shape.

Once we had the shape I was able to paint it to look like a real volcano.

Now all the hard work was done it was time for the fun part!

  • Experiment time

Maori Language Week

Today is the last day for Maori Language Week.  My sister and I dressed up to celebrate our mums culture. Our mum did our Tamoko and also put up our family korowai for our photos. We feel very special to have what we have. Happy Maori Language Week everyone.

Home Learning Day 22

Me and my sister had a lot of fun trying to find food and animal for each letter of the alphapet from A-H

I then had to draw a picture. My picture is about a chicken who laid eggs. One sunny day a girl found the egg and the egg was just about to hatch. The end!

Waiata: Putiputi kaneihana E

To celebrate Maori Language week, my sister and I are going to share a waiata with you all with the help of our big sister Jahzara playing the guitar for us.
Hope you enjoy and please leave us a comment.

Home Learning Day 21

Today I got to find words that start and end with the sound ch.

Counting from 1 - 10 in Te reo Māori

Maori Language week.

Me and my sister learnt how to count to 10 in Te Reo Maori. It was very hard but we kept on practicing and we both got better at it. It was also fun to learn Te Reo because I am half Maori. Hope you enjoy my video.
